I've read all the reviews on tire rack and a ton of forum posts. Coming down to the wire, which would you choose?

    BFG Rugged Terrain T/A - $790 installed
    Firestone Destination A/T - $709 installed

I currently have the Rugged Trail T/A and the only gripe is traction from a stop in the rain. I don't live anywhere with snow and most of my off road is in dry conditions.

    Cheers

^THIS. The Michelin LTX AT2s outperform both of those tires in nearly EVERY single category. The AT2s have excellent wet and dry traction, excellent off road and all terrain traction, a nearly impossible to wear tread wear 60k life, and 3 years of free roadside tire assistance and a 30 day money back no hassle return.

I have a set of these and I weekly take them on some very rough rocky lakeside limestone and granite and they have taken every bit if abuse with no issues whatsoever...

Yea, the LTX would be nice, but we are looking at nearly a $100 price difference from the Rugged Trails which were already about a the top of my budget.

    $880 installed.

Bear in mind this is 99% on road and just looking for good rain traction while maintaining a decent look vs going to ugly street tires.

That's what's so great about the Michelin tire. They are great on-road tires. I do about 95-98% long highway commutes on these tires and they make the truck feel like they are riding on rails plus not to mention in the curves they grip like crazy.

Also Michelin has a $70 rebate on them when you buy all 4.
