fitment for 255/85R16 to 285/75R16

    Since I live in Northern Canada now and don't want to pay for winter and summer tires. Looks like the Duratracs are a great option but to use them I have to give up my precious 255/85R16's.

    They have a 285/75R16 but this is the same height but about a half inch wider on each side.

    My truck has a 2.5-2.7 inch lift using Icon coilovers in the front. Stock UCA etc. I dont mind chopping cab mount etc but not sure if they will fit in other ways.

    Anyone know if they will fit my truck?

    What wheels do you have? If you dont have aftermarket wheels with enough backspacing or wheel spacers the 285's will probably rub in the stock UCA's

    You could always try 1.25" wheel spacers...

    Toytec ULK, Light Racing UCA's, OME Dakar rear leaves, ARB Bumper with XRC8 winch, Good Year Duratracs 285/70/17's on 17x9" Level 8 Strike 6's. Leer cap in the winter. Pioneer Double Din with BT, iPod, etc. Boston Acoustic components in all 4 doors with a Sony amp, powered 8" sub. Ultra gauge, Tom Tom...
    I ran 285/70/17s DuraTracs on factory Sport wheels and 1.25" spacers with minimal rubbing! ToyTec ULK with the Eibach/Billy adjustables. I did cut the back of the front flares.

    I have more rubbing with the same setup and 17x9 wheels with 4.5" back space.
