Just wondering what the view is from my fellow Tacoma owners on what type of tire class they put on their trucks. The P (passenger: 3 ply) or the LT (light truck: 10 ply) class.

Mine came new from the dealer with P class tires and when I needed tires after I realized how crappy the Dunlop's that came on it were, I went with another P class tire. This time around I wanted to put BFG Rugged Terrain TA tires on the old girl. My tire guy said all he had in stock were LT's in that model. I had him put a set on against his advice. (He's a good guy and really tries to save me money when it comes to things like this) So far I love them and they give the truck less body roll and less bounce over pot holes.

Please post and share your thoughts.

Will post a review of these BFG's after a few more miles.

There is a huge thread on P vs LT tires in the tire section FYI

I had performance tires on my last 3 Tacomas. Because I drove it like I stole it! They were street trucks only.

Load range c here.... Happy medium.

Ride characteristics can vary based on tire pressure.

Wrangler authorities have done me well...... And I do drive the truck quite hard.

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
    i run 265/75r16 range D tires.

I have blown out and ruined so many tires over the years, i went up a range. The last set were range E but i got them because they were available, and i went back to D's after.
