265/70/17 BGF AT w/ snow chains on stock suspension?

Hey guys,

I haven't received my set of rims and tires yet, but will I be able to install chains on my setup of 265/70/17 BFG AT KO on stock suspension without any trimming or removal of mud flaps?

I had cables on my prerunner trd sport with 265/70/17 tires and it worked. I dont know if chains will work.

 

Ah, you already started the thread I needed. I'll just sub this. I'm also interested in people's opinions on what chains to carry to be in compliance with the "chains required except for 4x4s with snow tires" condition. These BFGs have the little Alpine symbol so they count as snow tires for regulatory purposes.

Gosh, it's been a month. Given how opinionated people usually are, I'm surprised that there aren't people with strong opinions on snow chains...

 

No chains on the front wheels, they would hit your upper control arm.

 

I just put on my 265/70/17s on and they look tight with 1.75" 5100 up front , and 1" rear . Can't comment on adding chains though .
