I don't thrive on overly busy upper sidewalls myself, but it seems to be the trendy thing, especially to make street queens look tough.

I agree :D, I just hope they do what they did with the Km's and keep the old one around when the new one hits the market.

Most recognized tread pattern in the world.......

Yeah, its old.......shit they didn't even keep up on compounds like the rest of the world did for a long time.

I can spot an older vw beetle a mile away and even little kids know/love them. Its a uniquely old design, but I'm not gunna drive one across death valley just because they are so easily recognized.

Lmao..... Chris, didn't we discuss the dinosaur nature of the bfg a/t just recently?
    And u didn't give me a heads up :(

The "designs" on the sidewalls gives traction on rocks, and can give more traction in softer terrain, like sand, or mud.

I'd buy them depending on price, my experience is BFG prices themselves out of the market.

But back when I used to run them, never had a problem with them in conditions they were designed for. Snow/icy conditions, logging trails, remote places where 4x4 was required.

Only time they let me down was heavy thick mud, and I was the dummy for even trying.

This a picture of my last set of BFG A/T's after only 15,000 miles of my type of use at work.

My problem running the old KO's on one of my old trucks was the legendary longevity of the tire worked against it. After a couple of years the tire really seemed to stiffen up and then was just utter crap in snow and ice. I got to the point that I just run KM2's on my 4Runner now because I find they aren't that much worse for me, and then I don't have to get a tow out of the muck that I inevitably find myself in.

I would love to see the Nittos with same abuse, as I have owned both myself. I will go back to BFG after nitto especially with the added sipes for wet conditions, as that was the biggest complaint. I will also admit my off roading is moderate at best.

It is nice to have choices!

I know... it's just funny because I always see these aggressive sidewalls on shiny, flawless mall crawlers ;)

If someone would make this tire size, they would make a lot of us happy.

They should be coming shortly because these are one of our two releases this year for Michelin and we already are producing the other release Michelin Premier tire.
