I like the new design...but wondering if they will be cutting the price for the recent design to get them off shelf..or would buy back to reuse rubber

I say discount, reusing rubber doesn't sound likely to me. either way I'm dying to try these

What about general grabber AT2??? I have a set in 265/65R17 with over 50,000 miles on them. I may be able to get another 5000-10,000 miles out of them. They have served me well.

I am looking forward to the new BFG AT. But if they are as expensive as the the AT KO then I will most likely stay with the generals.

these are on the site now...

I don't see how they will be any better than the old A/T's

I didn't check all sizes but are considerably less MSRP in my 275/70's compared to the old KO's

Just looked, they are cheaper than the old KO's across the board

After reading this entire thread, I've noticed a few things. Adding my tire knowledge, professional experience, and consumer experience, I'm ready to comment on this.

    1. 85% of consumers form their own opinion on products/services. Sadly, it's the parrot population (15%) that seem to speak/spew/regurgitate second-hand information and cause issues. EVERY single person is guilty of this to an extent. Don't believe me? When's the last time you blindly trusted somebody's word without doing the legwork?

    2. I've driven on almost every A/T and M/T on the market in the last 5 years. I make it a point of being a student of my profession. I can't give the most informative information if all I'm giving them is the info the manufacturer provides?

    3. The BFG hate isn't "hate". They are clearly giving examples of deficiencies in THEIR experience in THEIR vehicle on THEIR local trail. They also stated that BFG got lazy on the tire and didn't do any upkeep to it (modify rubber composition/silica compound. Ect), which is FACT. BFG hasn't done anything to the tire except manufacture it, and condense their mold casts( happened in the last two years to streamline North American and European production). MAST knew the A/T needed a refresh after neglecting the tire (and the entire BFG brand for the most part) for SEVERAL years.

    4. The reason why, IN MY OPINION, that people have such drastic differences between different tires is application (the tread design to usage). M/S2's lasting 50k plus for somebody using 100% service roads is unrealistic. Bob the stapler salesman using KM2's on his DD aren't going to be choice of a guy that drives 40k miles plus per year. Yes I know that these are two grossly over exaggerated examples, but you get the idea. Expecting an A/T to perform for what a M/T is designed for the same way is misapplication. There is a decent amount of people (20-30%) who misapply tires to their vehicles based off of misinformation, and get upset and bad mouth the tire due to misapplication? Are you really putting the right tire on your vehicle for what you're using it for?

    5. Not every vehicle is the same. Even down to identical models off the production line. After all, there is still a certain level of human in vehicle production. Not to mention, we're talking on a forum where probably 90% of the members have modified their vehicle in some way.

    6. No two drivers are the same. Identical twins don't even drive identical. Little nuisances in driving habits can have a significant impact on tire wear. Not only that, we all maintain our vehicles a little differently.

Just spec'd them out on their website. First of all, They don't make a C rated 265/75/16. I think that is a mistake. Second of all the 265/70/17's are still 46.5 pounds :O

I'm not seeing how these will be much different from the old ones. Still super heavy.
That's really the main reason I am moving away from these next time.

I think everyone is well aware of this...

We like to complain about things and discuss them, that's why we are on this site.

Too many people take things on TW too personal.
If you like them use them and tell is about it and we'll tell you you're wrong. if you don't, complain to us about them and we'll tell you you're wrong.

    Let's get back to arguing...

    Hello all,

I have 10 month old BFG AT KO's in 275/70r17 with about 16,000 miles that I plan to sell once I buy my new BFG AT KO2's in 285/70r17. I spoke to a Michelin Rep & he said that "maybe" as early as November 2014.

And now to play the waiting game.......

The KO2s look awful, why would anyone choose that over KOs?
