I plan on picking up a set of 18x9 fuel boost wheels with a 5 inch backspace and 285/60/18 terra grapplers. I plan on putting a toytec ultimate lift prior to running this wheel and tire combo, and more than likely new uca's. With the lift I still anticipate slight rubbing from what I have read. My question is, would a 4.5 inch backspace increase rubbing or decrease? I would rather have less wheel and tire sticking out which is why I decided on the 5 inch backspace. I may also try a 285/65/18 later on

I ran this size wheel/tire combo at stock height with no rubbing, once the mud flaps were removed. With a lift, you should be able to run it without rubbing, even with the flaps still on. A 4.5" BS is going to increase rubbing.
