I am thinking about going back to stock wheels but still want to run 285's and people say I will need wheel spacers but I am not sure how good they work and if they are safe because I drive a lot of miles? Any help would really be appreciated thanks.

285's will be on the wider end of what you want to run on stock rims. As long as you get some decent spacers (i.e. spidertrax, bora etc.), you will be alright most likely.

Ok I was thinking about going with Spidertrax. What is a good size for stock rims?

It's all preference. Either 1.25" or 1.50" will work and look great! Try to find a used set on here for a better deal.

But they are safe to drive a lot of miles on. Someone told me they didn't trust them to be on if you drove a lot of miles.

I commute about 450 miles a week, with 1.25" Spidertraxx spacers, for the past 2 years. No issues.....use the locktite they supply with the spacer. ;)
