Gentleman and all 13 or 14 of the ladies that browse this forum. I have a 2014 Toyota Tacoma SR5 extended cab V6 4x4 S/T, i'm going to have a healthy lump of cash in my back pocket after this deployment and want opinions. I plan on pouring a decent amount into my truck. To start.

    http://bilsteinlifts.com/shop/05-and-up-tacoma/3-lift-kit-with-bilstein-5100-height-adj-coilovers/

But the next issue, tire sizes. I had looked into 285/75 r16's. So please elighten me, pros and cons. Price isn't to much of an issue. Have a better recomendation on bigger/smaller tire sizes? I'm originally based out of Charleston AFB, SC and go mudding which is more like clay there. Want to hit the beaches north of where I live. So any and all opinions are welcomed.

Bump, someone needs to jump in here. I'm tired of making sandcastles, want to do something productive. AKA Spend money on my truck.

Check out Downsouth, toytec, and Wheelers. That seems high for that lift..285'S will work but you may have to do a little trimming. Also plan on some power loss and fuel mileage decrease..

I'll give it a go, will they be offering complete lift kits? If I negative offset my wheels or use spacers will that prevent the need to trim anything?

But without you there would be no machines running, and without machines it's harder to be effective, so you are important.

Yes they offer complete kits.OME seems to be a very popular kit on here. Also ask for TW discount..There are other folks on here that can help you more with wheel offset questions..

I looked into it and it seems most kits run around the same price, they maybe flex a few hundered dollars. I'll keep shopping around though.

Bilstein 5100s up front with OME 885s, rear Add-A-Leaf, LED lights (tails, dome, map, plate lights), Kicker 8" in custom fiberglass enclosure under back seat, Kicker speakers throughout and Kicker amp for sub, Pioneer DVD Player, Satoshi Grille with Devil Horns, Leer 100XQ.
Honestly, I'd say do 5100s with new springs, some new tires, then use the rest to put a big dent in what you owe on it.

The truck will be payed off before I leave here, I traded in my 2006 Corolla which was payed off between that and the down payment I had from working 12's and not having time to do anything but eat at the mess hall and the daily shake weight excercise without the shakeweight, I acquired alot of loots. So everything that goes into this truck will be what I want so I don't have to backtrack and attempt to sell used parts.

DirtyDeedsIndustries long travel, King coil overs with King bypass up front. 3X16 triple bypass kings out back to dampen the Deaver SUA pack. Long tube headers with full race exhaust system. Too much to list.
Being that I rebuild and revalve shocks for a living I can honestly say to buy the most shock you can afford, and in this case you can afford it:) Kings will hands down give you the best ride on and off the road. Also, you can hit bigger holes faster if you custom valve them. No compromise, go with the King of all shocks.

I'll look into it, i'm no auto mechanic but since there's no work here I have learned so much just browsing the forums. I'm a sheet metalist by trade cutting and drilling into planes and what not yet i'm scared to cut into my brand new truck. It's funny how this has turned into a suspension and lift thread from a wheel and tire. But eh oh well. So for a 3" lift what will I need?

I kinda know how you feel. My dad is in the Air Force and usually gets deployed once a year or so.

    Thanks for your service
