I'm trying to save some money on tires. I currently have the stock size 265/70/16 on my truck with aftermarket rear leafs that put the rear about 2 inches above stock height. How much different are these tire in width? Will my truck look like it's on stilts. Theres about a 40-50 dollar difference in price between the 2 sizes. Anyone have pics of 245/75/16 on a TRD offroad?:)

Subbing because I have the same question. I would also like to get 245/70/16 for MPG and want to see them on a lifted truck.

What would a lifted Tacoma look like with 245s? Would it still look aggressive or, as he said, would it look like a truck on stilts?

Well I need tires so I just ordered a set of TreadWright Wardens in 245/75R16 my truck is stock other then the aftermarket rear springs. Im currently running a set of their Guard Doggs in 265/70R16 im happy with the 3 years 25,000+ mile i got out of the dogs but need to save some money so I went down in size. Total price including shipping was 459.44 to my door.

The 245 works and has low rolling resistance. The size cuts through snow and rain really well. Only negative is you may get more roll in a tighter turn.

    Are you lifted? Pic?

I'm eager to see if there are MPG gains to the smaller width. What is roll?
