    I've been looking into getting a new lift/tires for my 2014 and been looking around here for info. Is it just me or do the 2012 and newer tacoma seem to fit 285s with less trimming compared to the older models

    It's just you. Amount of rubbing depends on the source. Some of the guys here will say they have zero rubbing issues and forget to tell you their truck has never seen a dirt road.
