I have a 2006 AC cab with Nitto mud grapplers, 3" lift. They rub on 3/4 turn or more. Looking to get different tires, don't want to go too much smaller. The 285/70 shows it to be 32.7/11.22. Shouldn't this work if I get an AT tire. Wondering if its the side biters that are rubbing

    And, what's your wheel backspacing?

you running a spacer? ive got a 285/70R17's in the BFG KM2 and never had an issue with rubbing badly. had to remove my mudflaps and trim a bit of the flare but havent done the cab mount chop. ive got 1inch or 1.25 inch spacers in the front. cant remember 100%.

It probably isn't the diameter of the tire as the width. The 33-12.5 is usually close to an inch wider than a 285-70 causing a full size 33 to rub more. This definitely depends a lot on the backspacing of the wheel and if spacers are being used as well. so by going to a 285 from a 33 might solve your problem without sacrificing overall diameter that much.

I'm guessing 4.5" backspace, they are 17" Helo wheels and they come with 4.5 or 5.5 backspace.. I'm thinking going to the 285/70 might solve the problem. Most likely gonna get some Toyo AT which aren't as aggressive and put these up for sale. Thanks for the help guys
