New Michelins!

I didn't really intend to replace my tires this soon (they only had 4000 miles on them) but the Dunlops were just so bad I decided to do it. I can't understand why they would put such crappy tires on such great trucks. Anyway, I bought a set of Michelin LTX M/S for my 2008 Tacoma today. I had the same tires on my RAV 4 and really liked them so I was glad to be able to get them for the Tacoma. They provide a pretty smooth ride, great traction in wet weather, good handling, and wear very well. Since I don't do any off-roading I didn't need the LTX A/T 2. Even though the tires are pricey, I feel a lot safer than when I had the Dunlops on.

have had them on alot of my suv/trucks.love them.just took them off my 05 with 55000 miles and had 6/32 left.sold to another guy.love those tires.

 

I've got the same dunlops on mine, but really can't justify/afford to replace them. Now that the snow is off the roads I'm hoping to have good luck with them until next fall and see how the money situation is then. Good luck with the new tires!

I also put on some LTX's on my Tacoma. What a difference it made in the ride quality plus I think they look a lot better than the Dunlops' that were on there.

 

I have them and love them....I'm installing my lift on Thursday and really like the looks of our trucks with more aggressive tires but I'm keeping my LTX's and may try the A/T 2's next time....Enjoy them HT.

So are Michelin LTX M/S tires highway tires that can handle some Mud/Snow?

 

^^^ Yep. I've used them in the past and they are a very good all-around tire.

 

Had the LTX M/S on the '99 I had before this truck. Loved them but feel I will go ahead and get the A/T 2's just because of the few times I will need the off road ability during hunting season and freak blizzards like last week.

 

Yes. Since I don' do any off roading I didn't feel the need to spend any extra $$. These tires do very well in snow (never had to use them in mud) and are great tires if you travel mostly highway.
