I just recently installed a 3" OME lift 886 coil over and dakars in the back. I purchased the light racing upper control arms but my mechanic didnt install them because he said i didnt need them. I installed 275 70 r 17 cooper tires at3s on my truck on the stock trd rim and am rubbing on the uca every time i turn on both sides.

So my question is. Do i change rims, use spacers or change the upper control arms.

    1. Rims: I understand i need more backspacing but the rims im looking at are 17x9 and i measured my rims width at 8.5......so is that 8 or 9?????

    2. UCAs: If i take the uca out of the paper i cannot return them.....and i dont know if they are gonna fix them problem.

    3. Spacer: I dont want to do these cause of the extra weight on the bearing.

    What should i do????????????????????????????????????????????

I would still install the light racing UCA you will get better alignment numbers. Aftermarket UCA might solve the rubbing depends on the profile.

i got the alignment in without the uca thats why the mechanic told me i didnt need them. Thats why im stuck inbetween those three solutions. Thanks for the reply tho.

Trade in the Light Racing UCA's for a uni-ball UCA that has a smaller , stronger neck around the end towards the tire. As stated above, a better profile.
