3" lift installed. Help with rim size

Hey guys (and ladies). I've been looking through these forums for a a while and I want to say thank you to all who have posted to others. It got me through installing my own lift!
Now my question. I installed a 3" lift which will fit up to 33s. I currently have a steelie wheel with 245s. In order to save money on rims I've been looking around Craigslist. I'm currently looking at 17" wheels off of an 05 sport or 16" off of another tacoma. Will these work and which would you go with if trying to run 33s or even 295s? I understand that I'll need back spacing (guessing 4.5) and cutting which I'll let a shop do.
Should I just order rims from a shop?

You can run 33's with sport or offroad wheels, but will need a spacer. As far as aftermarket wheels 4.5 backspacing will allow 33's as well. As you mentioned there will probably be quite a bit of trimming involved.

 

With my 3" lift 265x70x17 32 " lots of clearance fuel wheels 5.25 backspace.
