    TRD Off Road
Hey guys, this is my first post on this forum, although Ive been reading it for insight for a while. I have a simple question about the tires I will soon put on my 2007 TRD Off Road DC. I have narrowed my option to the BFG A/T KO and the BFG Mud Terrain KM2s. I know quite bit about both tires, so I just need to opinions on my current situation.

My taco is no longer my daily driver(I bought a 96 accord as a work car/gas saver), so my truck is basically garage kept and used as my rig to hunt, fish, scout, and, most importantly, have the carseat in for my family(the accord is too small). If it was my daily driver I would most likely go with the A/Ts for their legendary longevity, but since I put so few miles on the truck I'm also considering the KM2s for the aggressive look and off road prowess. If yall can find a minute to respond with your thoughts on my dilemma, it would be must appreciated! Thanks!

Ive used them both and personally preferred the km2 offroad. They simply clean out much better and I did get surprisingly good wear out of them. However the a/t is a better tire in snow if thats a concern where you are. Hope that helps

My son has the ATs on his truck for Summer use; they wear well and perform awesome off-road in Summer. Tried them in Winter ... not impressed. Ok in actual snow ... 4 inches or more; but they suck on ice and plowed roads.

I'll throw in my vote for Duratracs...that's what I intend to replace my Summer use Pro-Grade Wrangler Silent Armours with when the time comes.

If anyone is curious, we've been running Blizzaks for 4 seasons now, and love them for Winter use.

I would say 100% duratracs as a middle of the road option... If your truck was your daily driver and your weekend warrior. Now that it's being used mostly to take you places off of the road, go with the km2s. Personally I think this should be a choice between the duratracs and the km2s, despite the a/t kos being as good as they are.

That makes sense to me too.

I've run BFG AT in my younger days and they are great tires. But if you are looking for the more aggressive look (and capability)...Duratracs or Mud KM2 are the way to go. In Texas where everyone has a truck...you always saw BFG AT on everything..and now I have seen so many people convert to Duratracs...including myself.
