I recently installed new leaf springs and bilstein 5100 shocks all around.

I am in the market for some new tires and was probably going to go with bfgoodrich ta/ko. The stock size is 265/65/17.

My question being with the 1.5" - 2" lift am I able to go to a slightly bigger tire without a problem? If so what size? I am going to use the stock rims. Was thinking maybe something a little bit wider but I don't want to have to modify anything or get new a-arms etc.

    Any advice is greatly apreciated.

Do you wheel at all? 265/70/17 will work perfect for you.

There are a whole world of threads here about running larger tires, but with the 17" wheels You could go to a 265/70 R17 and have no rubbing or other clearance issues. Lots of people step up to a 285/70R17 for a wider and taller tire with some need to trim fender flares. remove mud flaps, etc. Remember as you go to taller tires you eventually will need to/want to change gear ratios in your axles to accomodate the taller tires. For the tall & Skinny fitment you could use a 255/80R17 tire with minimum rubbing issues on your stock wheels.

    Thanks guys.

I was thinking the 265/70/17 but just wanted to make sure I wouldn't have to modify anything.

No don't have any pics yet.
If I want to go wider I would want to get a 270/65/17 or 270/70/17 correct?
From what I've read the 1st number is the width and the 2nd number is the height of the sidewall so if I went with a 265/70/17 it would just be a little bit taller not wider.

Correct, 1st number is the width.
