Just ordered my new Fuel Off-road wheels & tires

UPDATE! Wheels are on!
Went with the Fuel Off Road Octane in Matte black
17x8.5, +14 offset, 5.25" back space with a 106.4 bore to be hub centric
Used the ET Gorilla lug nuts with .30" short shank to also be lug centric
Also went with the Gorilla wheel locks with the same size shank
This is my second set of Fuel wheels. They are tuff as nails!
Wrapped them in Yokohama Geolander AT-S 265/65/17...sitting on stock suspension
I love the stance! And their easy to clean...Thank you JK Motorsports

Theo my wheels should be here Friday of next week from JK Motorsports in California

From what Ive seen online, I haven't even seen them on a Tacoma

Here is my wheel it just arrived at JK's shop yesterday....Im pumped
I went with a 8.5" width and a +14 offset
This will make the wheel poke out just a little over an inch then stock

 

You going to be running a lift? If so you might need wheel spacers. They look pretty good though

 

what does hub centric mean?

 

The hubs on the pre-runner and 4x4 tacomas are 106.1mm
When you pick out a wheel , you want the center hole in the wheel to be 106.4
Basically you want the center hole of the wheel to slide over top of the lip on our hubs with no extra space.

I wont be running a lift...the specs I chose are for stock suspension
It gives the the truck a slightly wider stance then stock. The poke will be 1.25" further out then stock

Thanks for the update Blazze. Did JK Motorsports give you a good deal? I don't think there are too many places in Hawaii that carry Fuel wheels, so I'll probably have to order mine as well. Shipping is going to be an arm and a leg.

Probably gonna be better for you to just get the wheels online
Then have tires mounted localy

Or find a set of 4 wheels on ebay with free shipping
I've seen them as low as $750.00 shipped on ebay

What size you going with Theo?

 

I would love to get free shipping, but that is never the case for Hawaii. I wanted to run 285/70/17 (3 inch lift), but I'm worried about rubbing issues and don't want to cut (especially with having to do a recon inspection for Hawaii). So, I decided to go with 275/65/18, a tad smaller tire. I'm still debating with offset and backspacing to go with, either going to be offset of 1 with 5" backspace or -12 offset with 4.5" backspace. I'm leaning more toward the -12, any thoughts on either one?

 

If you want the -1 in the Octane wheel you have to go 17x9 wheel size

Thats gonna stick out pretty good and think you would be happy

It will give an aggressive stance but not over kill

 

Looks like they wont be here till tuesday of next week! Not a happy camper

Just showed up this morning Theo
I only mounted one to check fitment and see how they looked on the truck
Some stick on weights fell off on shipment,so getting a road force balance done saturday morning
Their gonna look killer man!
The Geolanders are plenty aggressive also
265/65/17 on Fuel offroad octane wheels
17x8.5 +14 offset 5.25" back space 32lbs.
And best of all,easier to clean then the fuel hostage wheels I currently have.
My hand fits rite inside the spokes
