I need to decide soon on a replacement for my stock '13 DC Limited with 18" wheels. I'm staying with the stock 265/60R18 size, and am looking for a tire that looks aggressive, yet still gets close in MPG to the stock Bridgestones. I can go to NTB, DT, or Wally World just as easy. I've been reading a lot of tire threads but not seeing a lot of real-world experiences with the 18" tire size and am thinking that the bigger tire size of 18" will result in a much heavier tire, hampering MPG and so I need to keep an eye on that. So far I'm liking the Falken Rocky Mountain or the BFG Rugged Terrain, but am unsure if they are P or LT rating... I've read where one rating or the other can make a difference in MPG. What do people think of the choices out there in the 18" tire size?

I have hankook dynapro ATM in 265/60/18. Compared to my stock 16's I lost 1-2 mpg.

If it's strictly a daily driver and you want the best possible MPGs, stick with P rated tires.

Therein lies the rub, I cannot tell if some tires are P or LT in reading their spec's. I'd rather have a P tire that looks aggressive, yet gets good MPG

Check out tirerack.com. They list all the specs and even the weight of each tire. You're not going to find an aggressive tire that's P rated. It has to be one or the other.
