    Hello,

I have a 2.7L 2010 Extended cab with approximately 2" lift up front and leveled with a leaf in the back. I have some beefy 265/75R-16 duratrac tires which fill the wells nicely.

My problem is that the truck is a little underpowered on anything other than a level start (have to slip the clutch too much when starting from a stop uphill or in moderately deep snow). I didn't mind it, but I need new tires soon anyway and am selling the truck to a friend's 16 year old kid, and want it to be more drivable for them.

So, with a 2" lift, what is the shortest tire I can run without looking weird. Any pictures? Alternatively, would lowering rotational weight with a skinnier tire help the situation?

    Thanks

I have 245/75/16 and 2.5 inches of lift and mine don't look bad.. but then again I am getting new tires put on tomorrow..

I just like a taller tire so I went with the tall skinny 255/85/16

According to the calculator, that tire size would be 1" shorter and skinnier than what I have now. That would probably be ideal, do you (or anyone else) have any pictures of this combo?

    Thank you for the reply.

255/85/16 would be 1.42'' larger (diameter) and .39'' smaller (width) than your current 265/75/16.

I'd personally find a set of light 265/70/16 tires.

I think he was referring to the 245/75/16

I believe that some others with 4cyl were running 235/85/16 which is a super skinny tire that still has moderate height. If you did that I think that you may want spacers cause the wheels would be so far inset

I'm running 235/85/16's now. Just a hair taller than a 265/75/16 bit narrower and lighter.
