Is there really that much difference between the Nitto Terra Grappler and the Toyo Open Country AT2 tires? Im wanting legit..."I ran these...and like them/hate them because of ----------!
Mileage is a concern...of course, but handling and quietness is majority factor. These will be 90% on road. Just these two...not Generals, not Terra grapplers, not Wranglers....just those please

I don't think one is better than the other. THey are both good tires.

I haven't had the Toyo A/T II's, but I had the original version. I didn't think they were loud at all. The new II's come with a 65,000 treadlife warranty...which I'd say is pretty good. I can attest to how well they handled (original version) on wet and icy pavement. Never had problems with them. When I used them, I think I didn't lose any mpg at all. I had switched from a crappy General tire to them.

    Hope that helps.

And, from looking at Nitto's website and warranty info, they do not offer a mileage warranty on the Nitto Terra Grapplers. Just a limited warranty under 25% of the tread wear.
