I didn't understand this either. I will be going with the 255/80/17s when my km2s in same size wear down. I am running atx mojaves 17x8 4.5bs so same size wheel and tire combo as OP. Looking forward to seeing how they look on his truck.

They'd actually clear without the top plate spacer kit. I put a lot of thought and research the poop out of 255/80/17 i love the skinner tire look. Better on the mpgs and gained some horses back i'm sure. Great for towing being a 10ply this is by far my favorite mud/all terrain tire on the market

Old tires were Nitto Terra Grappler 285/70/17.

The S/T Maxx's are sick. Super quiet and much better ride than Nitto Terra Grapplers.

Yeah i had a slight rub with the 285's but then i read that i was supposed to have a top plate spacer kit with the OME 885's. Once that was on i was golden.

I'd for sure go with the S/T Maxx's there better all around in my opinion. I've never really liked M/T cause most of them ride like crap and are loud. The Coopers are super smooth and i hardly hear any road noise.

I'm ready to pull the trigger on this same setup: 255/80/17 ST Maxx on 17x8 with 0 OS/4.5 BS. I have the same lift.

One quick question: have you flexed the truck off-road? I'm worried the tire won't stuff in the wheel well without hitting the fender.

    Thanks for any help.
