Well boys I've finally decided that it's the right time tobuy some new shoes and I've chosen the Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx in 255/80/17.I've got the Pro Comp 7089's in the 17x8 back spacing 4.5 back spacing. I also have a 3" lift so we'll see how itfits next week as I bought them today and it takes 3-5 business days to ship.

Chalked tires best wear is 40 psi all around

The S/T Maxx’s are very quiet which is nuts because the tread is super aggressive and deep. I love the fact that these tires can be studded that’d come in handy if you lived in the mountains. I’ve got plenty of clearance with a 3 inch lift I don’t see rubbing being an issue on or off road. I’m pulling a little to the right so alignment is needed.

I highly recommend going with discount tire they kick ass. The senior manager gave a killer deal cause I did my research and found that tirecrawler.com was cheaper. I did have to come back the next day cause I had slight balancing issues so the senior manager hooked me up with free gorilla locking wheel lugs each tire has 6 locks $50 value FREE needless to say I'll be going out of my way to rant and rave on a customer survey about the amazing customer service they provide.

The only reason I didn't buy these is because they don't come in 265/75/16 6 ply.

Their spec diameter is smaller than the KM2's in 255/80/17 , be interesting to see how big they actually are

    Such a heavy tire...thinking about these in 255/75/17 but 53lbs LT/C this 255/80/17 LT/E is listed at 51lbs Seem a little counter-intuitive

I'm super stoked I've been waiting months I'm not so worried with how much the tires weight they're skinny tires so it'll be an advantage from my 285s when it comes to MPGs I've put tons of though into it I've drove my wife crazy over it haha.

If you wanna get these go to tirecrawler.com discount tire will match their price and shipping. They'll also cover 1 out of 4 tire on the premium coverage. Ask for rebates every time. I talked them down $200 :D gotta haggle and let them know you have a second option like another tire shop and your not in a hurry.

I'll have them posted tomorrow. I just wanna say discount tire kicked ass great customer service. 2 guys were working on my truck at once. Super fast service and I got a killer deal. They even cleaned up my wheels to match the new shoes. They also busted off some surface rust on my calipers and drums.

I had them air them up to 40 psi. I read it was a good number. Seems a bit low though it felt like I was driving a boat. I'm going to air them up a bit more and chalk test it.
