Will the Moto Metal 951 (16x8, 6/139.7) with "0" offset fit on a stock 2009 Tacoma, Access Cab, 4x4?

Also, would it be possible to put the stock tires on these rims?

    Thanks in advance!

    First off welcome to tacomaworld!

I have been looking at the 957's with a -12 and the tire tech told me it wouldn't work but i told him to shove it I am pretty sure you want a negative offset on our trucks.

Thanks... I know this has probably been discussed adnauseum but any other suggestions would be much appreciated.

I am looking to keep the stock rubber and put black rims on my 09 black 4x4 access cab shortly after I receive it in mid-May.

Do they make them with a 0 offset? I have the black 17 inch MM 951's with the -12 offset. I am very pleased and I believe the stock tires should work fine.

Yeah it looks like the 16" only comes in a 0 offset. The 17's look like they have -12 offset.

Not sure if this will help you but these are the Moto Metal 955's in a 17x9 with 4.5" backspacing with a 285-70-17 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ. Required very little trimming.

There are some people with the 951 in a 16" rim and it fits, some of them were told the 16" would not fit 2nd gen tacos due to a caliper clearance issue.
I thought about getting those before the 957B came out .

You should be able to use your stock tires on a 16x8 rim.

Well Moto Metal makes a 16x8 with a 0 offset and a 16x9 with a -12. I am about to order a set and want to know which is better for the Taco. I have new General Graber AT2's in 285/70/16 ordered and want to know if I should get the 16x8 or 16x9

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
i'd go 16x8 cuz the 9" rim could cause frame rub issues

Really?? I've seen this on other Taco's on Toyota Nation and I thouhgt all they had in terms of rubbing was the "block" on the fender flares. I was thinking that the stock rim is 7.5 wide so an 8 wouldn't really give me any rubber sticking out the side?

I'd like to have about an inch to 2 sticking out.

I have 17x9 and they do not rub the frame.
If you are referring to the "block" on the front inner under side of the fender/bumper, that is where mine rub, but its very minor and only on full turns. I have maybe 1-2" of tire that sticks out from the fenders.
