I read an earlier thread that the largest tire that will work on my 2011 tacoma is the 265-65-17. Has anyone put them on, how has it worked out?

I am sure he doesn't want the tires to rub. 32" is the limit we all know will work (265/75-16 for example).

    255/75/17 or 265/70/17

265/65/17 is the stock tire size on a TRD Sport

So on my TRD Sport I cant go bigger than whats on there. I want to take off the duelers and replace them with a more off road friendly tire but w/o too much sacrifice

Assuming you're running the 17"sport wheels i'd suggest the 265/75/17.When i still had the sport wheels on my Tacoma that's what i ran tire size with BFG Rugged Terrain tires with no issues.I removed my mud flaps when i purchased my truck but there are some that say you will have a slight rub with the mud flaps on at full steering turn.I now have 16"FJ Cruiser Trail Team wheels(1"smaller than 17")with the same BFG tires 265/75/16 and obviously no issues.Do some research on brand tires you prefer. There are other brand options available other than the BFG's i chose.Without sacrifice this is your best bet without having to spend additional money to your suspension.Hope this is of some help 15TrdSportec!

    Pretty sure a 265/75/17 doesn't exist

I know this is an old thread but I'm looking into buying new tires for my stock 2014 sport 17 inch wheel and would like to know if there's an advantage in buying 265/75r16 with 16 inch wheels or just buy 265/70r17 tires?? Don't off road, just road
