Anyone have issues with balancing before or after? Still debating these tires, I will be buying tires by the end of the month.

Are these tires good in snow or are they snow rated? I've got cooper at3s now, but these look a lot better!

Great in snow! Over a foot last week, getting hit hard now!
Wet, dry, deep, slush... Love these tires.

So had these bad boys out on a dirt road basically a logging road helping a buddy cute fire wood there was about 3" of snow on the ground and under it was ice these things did great especially since it was a pretty steep incline we had to go up the other truck had all kinds of issues 4x4 Colorado. I ended up draging a 2wd s10 around behind me. These tires do nothing but impress me more and more

I've been reading the reviews about these tires and I'm about to pull the trigger, but I read some negative reviews about the sidewall flexing a lot during towing. I tow a fairly heavy boat pretty often when the weather is good. Anybody seeing anything similar? The two sizes I'm considering are both rated for the same max weight but one has a D rating and the other an E rating. I called Cooper this morning and the tech I spoke to was pretty worthless.

I'd definitely go E if you're towing a lot. I personally haven't towed much since I bought the tires.

Really bothers me seeing snow in all the threads and then I look out my window and see sunshine and 60 degree temps. Utah "greatest snow that never fell to earth"

What type of tread wear are you guys getting? Really debating these for my next tire but Mountain State Overland has them on thier truck in this size and are getting worse wear than I am with my KM2

Thanks Teneighty, I have two sets of rims I'm considering for these guys, one set are 17's and the other are 20's. I was preferring to run the 17's and ditch the 20's but the 35-12.50-17 (it's actually a 315-70-17) they only make in a D rating. The 35-12.50-20 is an E rated tire which has me rethinking the 17's.

    Chux and 1080,
Love both your guys trucks, great builds and you guys clearly use them.

Wonder if my at3s would get through that much snow...

Want st maxxs, but also concerned with the tread life?

Im not sure how to technically claim my tread life. I dont have a tread gauge, and I remember the date I mounted them but not sure the mileage when mounted. I can say they are not fresh but my truck is my daily and I drive alot! With that said my current tread amount is not a concern of mine, and still plan on buying another set of Maxxs when the time comes.

I've got 5500 miles on my tires and they look brand new. wearing perfect and I'm going to rotate them in a few days with an oil change.

Blouder, what type of driving will you be doing? Personally i like the look of 17's better and they are better offroad as well. Also. where did you read reviews on bad tread wear while towing? It will make a difference
if a guy is running a F350 diesel and towing 12000 lbs. The amount you"ll be able to tow SAFELY with your Tacoma you shouldnt have any wear issues from the weight and no sidewall flex.

I have almost 10k miles on my Maxx's and they look great.

Blouder most of the reviews of "sidewall flex" in the ST Maxx are guys with big heavy diesels towing heavy loads. an E Rated LT tire is gonna be way overkill for our trucks so sidewall flex isn't gonna be an issue.
