If I get offset rims, can I fit 285/75r16 on a 02 Tacoma. I have bilstein 5100s all the way around

You could run spacers instead, but yeah, I'm not sure about numbers for a 1st gen. But the farther the tire is away from the frame the more room it has for its turning radius.

I've heard (on 2nd gens.) you can run 285's on 1.25 spacers. I haven't tried it yet though, so I can't say for sure!

having wheels with less backspacing will help but you won't fit that size without trimming of the inner fender

How about 33x12.50. What do I need to do to fit those?

wheels with less backspacing then stock; 3.75"-3.5" backspacing and a lot of trimming and cutting at the plastic inner fender liner. oh and probably some bending and banging of the pinch weld on the back of the wheel well.

Thanks for your knowledge mr. Biscuits. I see you have 5100 with the eibach coils.. I'm thinking new coils because I put the 5100 in front set at the high setting and the truck didn't lift much. It actually is lower than before because I took the coil spacer off when I changed the shock.. I think I can get more out of it with a new spring.

you'll most definitely get 3" of lift out of them. probably a better ride too

So what coil is best to buy. Your most likely going to say eibach.. If eibach what coil# size etc... If not eibach. What coil and size/strength is most recomended. Thanks again

You can't fit any 33" tire without some small amount of cutting and hammering. Back spacing isn't going to change that.

The thing back spacing saves you from is hitting the UCA with the tire and the frame when you turn at full lock.

But the furth you push the tire ou the more the tire eats the fender and you may have to cut the fender. Just the part down by the pinch weld though not the full fender.

Toytech has Eibach make coils for the 5100s. They are a 620lb coil. Not really recommended unless you are planning on getting a heavy bumper or some for, of weight up front. You will get well over 3" with the eibachs.

You can run OME coils too. If you really want the lift the 883s are a good choice or the 882s. 881s are nice too just not going to give a ton of lift.

Just remember the more you lift the front the less down travel you'll have and the more wear you'll put on the cv axle boots and other joints.
