I will be very blunt. I spend 100% of the time driving on the street and I want a bad-ass looking truck. I am interested in the most aggressive looking tire that is really designed to last long and have minimal road noise. I understand its not possible to have the best of all worlds, but with a mindset on longevity and comfort, what are some of the most aggressive looking tires I should be looking at considering I will not be off-road?

BTW, I used to have the A/T BFG and I am leaning towards something more aggressive looking than that tire with the understanding it will come at the cost of longevity and road noise.

Also, have you seen the new BFG AT TA KO2 ? You can tell it from the old BFG AT Ta because it's got tread blocks creeping up the sidewalls.

The Trail Grappler is one I might consider, but have never ran personally. The duratrac is also more aggressive looking that the BFG.

What region are you in? Rain, snow, dry?

A friend has the terra grapplers. Pretty aggressive looking, and not too much road noise

I got 45K out of my first set of Goodyear MT/R Kevlar - coulda made 50k if I'd kept up a good tire rotation schedule. But I dropped off rotating after 30k miles and one tire wore out early.

    Louder though.

The Yokohama Geolandar is a pretty grippy looking tire. Had them on my 03 Pathfinder before it shit the bed.

Most of the "MT" class aggressive looking tires are still good for 40k to 50k miles on the highway. What you're mostly signing up for is more road noise.

Nitto Trail Grappler is one of the most badass looking tires, IMO.

These look pretty good. Anybody like these over the Terra Grapplers?

A new tire I've come across I'm considering for my tacoma is the bfg rugged terrain. It's an aggressive off-road tread designed for the road for the wannabee off-roaders that don't. They look good and discount tire stocks them.

Goodyear Authority is a pretty aggressive tire. Rated as an all-terrain and has great reviews.

4x4Groupbuy.com has the 275-70-17's BFG all terrain KO2 load range E for $204 a piece...not sure you can really beat that.
I'm waiting on the 285's to be released

I have them on my truck. They have been pretty good. Haven't noticed any bad tendencies with them. Wet traction is good. Had them in the snow last year and did fine. The tread blocks are pretty close together so they don't evacuate snow very well. I would probably get them again or Hankook Dynapros. Probably not as aggressive as what the OP is looking for, though.

Sooner or later, someone's going to say it...

TSL Boggers. Might give you a little road noise but you'll have a LOT of tread to wear down on the pavement.
