I have my tacoma, Its 2 wheel drive base inline 4. I am looking at getting new tires again, I have my stock 15x6 wheels with 235/70/15 goodyear wranglers on them right now. I have had no Problems with the larger size diameter variance, no rubbing surprisingly, just a little worst gas mileage and slower 0-60 time. Anyways, right now I am not looking to spend alot on my truck at this time like lifting it and putting bigger wheels and tires. But I am looking at a set of 235/75/15
Hankook DynaPro ATm Tire 235/75R15XL tires but they are about 7.5" diameter variance to stock and I am concerned about the consequences of going that much of a larger tire on my stocks without upgrading to a larger rim, or etc. I am sure I will be fine without having to regear my truck since there not that big, and rubbing I am not to concerned about, I know my speedo will be off by a couple mph, and gas milage, but should I be concerned about anything else like, running my breaks and rotors a lot quicker, or hitting a abs censor or other oem components breaking or etc with the rubbing I will get in the fenderwell or area. Or any other issues I should be aware of that I could come across in the long run. I am not going to be pushing my truck to redline with these tires if they fit. But I want to look at this with a conservative point of view before spending 500 bucks to do it. Let me know what you think. Keep in mind my truck is completely stock, stock 15x6 rim, no lift, 2 wheel drive. All I have is an exhaust and intake. thats it.

    the sidewalls are 1/2" higher.

I doubt it'll make that much of a difference.

If your economy minded, you will get a little worse mileage with the 75's Vs. the 70 series.
