What is the largest tire diameter that can fit within a stock Tacoma? i would like to get some new off road tires but i don't want to modify the rest of my truck to accommodate bigger tires.

I believe a 265/75 R16 fits without any question, but I think anything taller than that you might potentially start to run into rubbing issues.

    According to the tire calculator,

    265/75R16 = 31.65"
    265/70R17 = 31.61"
    255/75R17 = 32.06"

So many different opinions. Who's right?

I just picked the 16" size assuming the OP doesn't have a TRD sport and it's the biggest you can go without buying new wheels.
