What is the purpose for lifting the truck? Bro looks? Or functional off roading?

3" lift on 33's and you'll have more clearance than a 6" lift. Hell, LoadedTaco on here runs 35's on 3" of lift..LOTS and LOTS of trimming but it can be done.

The 6 inch lift is a bro lift or mall crawler; its all for looks.

For performance you want a coilover lift in the front adjustable from 0-3" and either new leaf pack in the back or aal, with upgraded rear shocks.

Pick your lift based off the size tires you want to run. If you're looking for offroad performace you don't want your center of gravity too high. I say get a set of toytec coilovers and maxtrac spindles and SPC upper control arms. That will give you 4" of lift and allow you to fit either 33's or 35's

That's the thing I don't off road as often anymore so I'm deciding between 33's on a higher lift or 35's on about a 3 to 4 inch lift
Which would you think I would benefit from ?

Realistically, you'll need wheels with 4.5"bs for spindles or 1.25" wheel spacers. But, for the toytec coilovers I think those are $800, the spindles are $500 but not sure if that includes the extended brake lines, UCA's are $370. So, minus the wheels and tires about $1700ish if you do the installs yourself. Or instead of the coilovers you can the toytec lift kit which is bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks, eibach coils, and a 2" AAL. That's what I have right now and got it for right under $700. Eventually I'll add the spindles.

3" lift (coilovers in front add a leaf and 1" spacer in rear), 33" grabber at2, powertrax rear locker, lce long headers w/high flow cat. and magnaflow catback, hurst shifter, roll bar... lots of lights
I wouldn't bother with a lot of that shit. Toytec front coilovers, 2"AAL with a 1" block or shackle lift in the back. That will give you 3" of lift. Run 33's and you shouldn't need a regear. Don't run 35's if you have a 4 cyl unless you want to do a very aggressive regear. A lot of people talk about how the increase in size affects gearing and thus acceleration, but i find that most of problem is really coming from the added weight. I'm just now sizing down from 285/75R16's on steel procomps to 33x10.5R15's on alluminum rims; I'll have the same amount of tire height and I'll lose over 120lbs of unsprung rotational weight. Unless you plan on getting into some really serious shit you don't need 35's. I go wheeling with people who have $1500 jeeps (so they dont care what happens to them) with 35's and i can do everything they do with 33's. If you're looking for a cheap route I'm looking to sell my old wheels and tires cheap...

*Edit: Oh yeah, and you'll also need 10" shocks in the rear. I recommend a resi setup if you do a lot of bumpy medium to higher speed stuff. All said and done my setup is about $2000 (front coilovers, rear AAL, 1" block lift, Icon2 resi rear shocks, 1" body lift, and 33x10.5R15 mounted balanced and shipped from tire rack.)
