I'm gonna buy one to use as a spare. I live about 30 min from Wheelers.

Anyone know if they will fit without issues on the stock 265/70/16 tires?

Took a little drive to Wheelers yesterday and got one of these bad boys to use as a spare. Mounted it up today and it fit fine, took a little drive around the block and have no issues. Figured you guys would wanna know. :)

Pics for your viewing pleasure. I found a brand new 265/75/16 Cooper S/T for 75 bucks. So for 140 bucks total I got a beefy spare wheel and tire.

Right on, thanks a ton for the post and the pics! This is the first time I'm seeing pics of the newer 97 series they offer. Super helpful, been wanting get a more specific idea of what they look like before I order them in the next couple weeks.

That's a great deal for sure for a nice spare, good set up. So to test it, you ran it with your other 3 (different) wheels? And it drove ok? I'm definitely curious about this because at this point I'm only getting 4 to mount, and leaving my spare (which is a full 265/75/16 used Michelin m/s tire) on the oem steel wheel. Because of this I was wondering what would happen if I had to use my spare, how would it work with 3 different other wheels mounted, with different back spacing, etc. Of course it would only ever be for relatively short distances until I could find a place to fix it. But still wondering..

Thanks RogueTRD, appreciate the post. That's great your so close to Wheelers.

I have the 97's but I wish I waited to get their new 51 "D Windows"

I still like the look and function of these wheels though and it doesn't bother me enough to make the switch.

    Couple pics:

Yes I have wheels with 4.5 backspacing currently. The 1/4 of an inch wont matter considering I am using it for a spare only. It wouldnt be on there long term. I didn't get over 25 mph but didn't notice any issues. I just wanted a spare of the same size and a wheel that wasn't stock backspace.

Those look really good! You running 285's?

Copy that, thanks.. Ya, now I'm debating getting a 5th to use as a spare so they all have the same backspacing in the event I need to swap out for a flat

The price is the only difference. They are both Pro Comp wheels.

So why is Wheelers saying they will fit but ProComp will not?
