I'm still running the original OEM tires on my truck. Tires were made the 35th week of 07. Are they still safe for highway travel or even local driving? I have ~52K on them and there is still tread left on them. Looking to replace soon, but will do it sooner if they are not safe. Thanks

I think 6 years is the industry standard life expectancy of sidewalls. I had 6 year old Michelins on my F150 with plenty of tread remaining when the sidewalls started cracking. They had 60,000 miles on them. THere are lots of variables like how well you've maintained proper psi, rotation, exposure to elements, whether you used any harsh cleaners that could weaken the sidewalls. Sure, there are outliers who will certainly pipe up saying they've run the same tires for a decade but those are statistical anomalies. If it were me and my family, I'd go get some new tires :)

I agree with this! 6 years or 60,000 miles are all those tires are made for according to tire rack.
