Wheels spinning out in rain when accelerating

hey, got a 2nd gen Tacoma and when its raining and I accelerate the rear wheels spin out. It only doesn't spin out when I accelerate super slow. its especially bad on steep hills. I have pro comp m/t too with decent tread.

is this normal? anything to help stop?

On slick wet concrete and icy conditions mt tires have their worst traction. Gonna have to go easy up wet streets to keep traction...

Put it in 4x4 mode when it rains.

If you have a 2009+ truck, press the Auto LSD button. The next time you get wheelspin, the system applies some brake pressure to the slipping wheel to transfer torque to the non-slipping wheel.

Mud tires are not optimized for water on pavement; they don't have much siping. Pro Comp M/Ts actually have more siping on other mud tires, but not enough compared to A/Ts.
