In your owners manual there are instructions to reset it using the button under the dash on the drivers side.

If it's blinking when you first turn it on for about a minute then stays on then it's not reading at least one of the sensors. They can check to see of they are reading. Sometimes they don't program them to your truck as well. I've had this issue before. They should have programmed them to your truck after install but I bet one of the sensors isn't reading.

I've got a problem with my TPMS sensors too. I have an '06 taco with the original alloy wheels and sensors. My TPMS sensor has started blinking continuously. I thought it was the spare tire losing pressure over the winter and made sure all the tires were set to the same pressure and then performed the Reset procedure, but that didn't help. I noticed that if I hold the reset button in for a few seconds the Blink rate will change (gets a little slower) but then returns to the "normal" blink rate. I'm not sure if I have a bad sensor or if there is a problem with the detection circuitry (wherever that is). Do you have to pull and breakdown all of the tires to find out if you have a bad Sensor or is there a magic detection tool that will pick a bad one out?? The blinking light is driving me nuts!!

Any tire shop has the tool to do it. It just senses the frequency in each individual sensor as you hold the meter on the outside of the tires. You can buy one but if you swing by a tire shop more than likely they will scan it for you. And usually they can swap a new one in relatively quick. Hope this helps!

Thanks Lobster. That's good news. I'll start calling around and see if I can find a place that has the tool.

This is just a follow-up on post #6 which I forgot I had posted. But I had that problem for well over a year. My mechanic retired and recommended someone else. I went there for state inspection and mentioned my TPMS problem to the guy. He took a look at it and said he couldn't promise it would work, but he plugged one of his toys into the ODB connector and 5 minutes later the problem was corrected!!!! From what I had read, that TPMS circuitry can get into a runaway condition and I think that's what happened to me. Anyway this guy fixed it. It wasn't any of the wheel Sensors. By the way he didn't charge me a penny for doing it. I go there all the time now.
