Never had the Toyo's on any of my rigs. The Duratracs I have on there right now hum a bit, but it's nothing that a notch or two on the radio doesn't fix.
Honestly I get more wind noise from my Trac Rac than I do road noise from the Duratracs, if that helps at all.

Just got a new 2014 taco trd. It seems like many people do not like the stock tires. Certainly I will be using studded snows in the winter(live at 9800 feet with a very sketchy 12 mile drive to work). Of course there was a late snow storm last week that dropped a couple feet and certainly the truck did not feel great. Summer driving will be a mix of paved roads and dirt. No crazy 4 wheeling but a fair amount of dirt roads that get rough. Whats your thoughts. Again Crazy mountain weather and roads? keep them till the fall or upgrade now and I should be able to get a couple hundred for the tires. If upgrade what tires and what tires size(stock not looking to trim)

    Thanks

I had BFG Long Trail 265/70r16 and went to Nitto Terra Grapplers in a 285/50r20 but experience a strong pull when I drive through a puddle. Has anyone experienced the same problem or any experience in the rain. Is it because I went to a bigger tire.

Anyone in the Sacramento area that can give me a good reputable spot to take a look at my Tacoma? This is my first one and there is a lift on it so i wanted to get some specs on rims and tires.

I'm looking for a new tire for my 2012 Tacoma. I need it for daily driving around 100-150km round trip and for some hunting and going through deep snow. I was looking at the dura-tracs but I'm seeing that many people are only getting 40k out of them. Can anyone help me out?

Guy at Tireworks today tried talking me OUT of Nitto's or Toyo ATs... and instead was pushing really hard for me to get some WestLake tires instead. Pushing real hard.

Come home, do some research, they're a Chinese crap tire that average 20-25k and have had multiple government recalls in multiple countries. Ew!

Think I've settled on some Nittos Graps. I like the sidewall design a little more than the Toyo ATs..

    Thanks though Bornwild

Here's an option for the Canadian boys. I'm running these on truck and so far have been impressed. They are a e rated but don't seem noisy to me. They are sold at Canadian tire and usually go on sale every couple months for $1000 installed.

Oh geese. Discount tire wouldn't mount my new Nittos with my lug nuts I've used for over a year on my truck. Said I had to use the extended thread for a Toyota and my regular Gorillas weren't road safe.

Said they won't install unless I used the chrome ETs they have.. So now I gotta wait for black to arrive. Sigh.

I know i know. I even said I'd order through them and come back for the new ones, but they wouldn't budge. I said I'd sign a waiver too, dude wouldn't agree. Got black ones coming from Amazon for much cheaper than Discount Tire, and rocking some silver ugly ones til they arrive.

Which tire now, currently have 285/17's Nitto Trails, 6" lifted PreRunner had for about two years about 5k on them they look like new but ready for change. I would like to go to a A/T tire and put the Nitto's away for now, looking at Toyo AT'2s, Yokohama Geolanders and Michelin LTX/MS need some help, Oh also going to 315/17's so about 34.5 or so getting re-geared again for this purpose. What's the best A/T on the market right now? I have looked at everything from Treadwrights to Interco and everything in between. Thanks for the help.

I prefer the toyo at II since they come with a 50k treadwear warranty and the xtreme versions are a lil more aggressive than the p rated ones. If you want to go with a 34" you can run a 285/75r17 which is the xt version.
