Hey everyone question for ya. For a 09 4x4 if i want to run a 18x12 with a 375/55 18 ( 33x15 aprox ) how much lift would i need? Truck will be on the road 90% of the time. Could I get away with 3 1/2 in or do I need more. I just want to make sure I still a full turning radius. Thanks any help on this would be great. I know I have not been on here much but here is a update on me. I sold my 97 4x4 and I will be trading in my 06 f350 for a 09 black 4x4 trd sport probally this week. I am trying to get some of these minor details out of the way. Thanks

Holy jeebus.... wow yeah I would say minimum 6" lift, but I don't even think that can clear that wide of tires..... I can't see any way in hell you're gonna clear 15 wide tires on 3" lift without some major major mods.... first thing being the cab mount.

EDIT: are you sure you didn't typo?

What about a 9in wheel instead?

I'm not saying that this is impossible, but generally speaking, I can't imagine it fitting at all. My tires are only 11 or so wide and they are rubbing cab mounts. Yours are considerably bigger in every direction. Wheel size or not, I can't imagine it period.

Someone else needs to pipe in on this, before I get myself in trouble for not knowing what I'm talking aboooout :)

Stock the way god made her. (FOR NOW)
a general rule of thumb is 3" 285's and 6" 305's with a bit of rubbing on some lifts with some tires

on my 98 reg cab (there are a few pics in gallery) I had 9in of lift 6 sus and 3 body and I was running swamper sts's 33x14.50's on a 15x10 and I had plenty of room to spare. I am just trying to figure out a way.

would it be more feasible with a 9in wide instead of a 12? Then my question is how do you get that wide stance? My goal is not height its width. How about backspacing on diffrent rims? What kind of backspacing or offset are you guys running? The rims I am looking at are either kmc diesel's in a 18x9 or the mickey thompson dc-1 in a 18x12 or the 18x9.

Actually those tires on the red tacoma fc II's are one of the tires I am looking at, but they are a 375/50 18 instead of the mud country's which are the 375/55 18.

I think the question is when are you doing your Solid Axle Swap?
