I plan to buy a set of Konig Countersteers which are 16x8 ,+0 offset, 4.5" backspacing and I'm not sure what sort of tire I could fit. I plan to stay on stock suspension (at least for now) and am wondering if a 285 would fit?

I understand there may be some rub on full lock, but can anyone tell me with some confidence if they will fit without rubbing the UCA, etc?

    Thanks!!

Hmmm, ok it seems a 285 is out. What tire size would you recommend? I don't mind some trimming and don't mind losing mud-flaps.

    Thanks!!

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
the largest stock size would be a 265/75/16

Thanks, I have been lurking around TW for a while seeing what other people were doing. I am happy with this set up. It does not even rub, but it is close.

Very nice! I ended up going with some BFG 285/75s.

No I just had to do some trimming and take off the mud flaps. I was over lifting it. I paid for the extended warranty and it would have been a waste of money to void it. I have had lifted trucks and it seems like the stock suspension will always give you the best "overall" ride. Eventually I will probably go with the Toytec Ultimate Tacoma Lift, I have heard good things that kit.

your gonna be in for some fun fighting rubbing, man. Before you even try to put those on you'd better go take off your mudflaps and have a shop trim back the front body mount. It'll rub any time you turn the wheels if you dont and even after all that, i think you might be fighting it. Good luck.

I trimmed the mud flaps but ended up taking them off because I just like the way it looks better. No rubbing on the body mount at all.

Here are some pics of it in the snow last week.

So no lift with those tires? 285/75/16's with 16x8 wheels? I just got a 2010 Taco Reg Cab 4x4 and want the stock wheels and tires gone but dont want to lift mine either. So there is no rubbing when you take off the front mud flaps?

No I have a lift. Icon coilovers up front and Icon leafs in the rear. On stock suspension you would have major rubbing issues.
