brilliant minds unite please...

I'm sure it didnt require brilliant minds maybe just smarter but hey youre here right? So i have experienced a slight rub when at full turn and the truck slants to one side. it is minimal but at full stuff obviously it will be much worse. i searched and was referred to the fender mod on TTORA which was very detailed and helpful. This is probably what will happen however i still run into problems with the fender flare. I know the bushwackers flare out further but they still mount to the same mounting point as the old ones right? i had them on an older toy but never paid attention. do i just run without flares or are there flares out there for this or can i cut that bottom portion of the flare(or any flare for that matter) in any way to keep it looking decent? The pics are of the front drivers side.

The bumper will not be much of a problem as you can see but at full stuff it will have a little rub too. I figure a Budbuilt or similar bumper will run high enough that i will have plenty of room up there.

So i'm looking for input on what may be possible for rubbing solutions and what could look best in regards to trimming on the flare. I would like to hear some outside the box ideas as well if they are out there. i game for anything really as you can see with the Rhino job. the firewall speaks for itself and i see only one way to fix it which is to cut like the TTORA post. At full stuff it will hit the firewall i'm sure. I dont think i will pound it in but i guess its an option if a new flare covers it up....

In the end it doesnt matter how much i bring in the firewall if there is still a flare down there in the way. Hopefully you guys can help me come up with a fix for this.

make sure you lay some tape down when sawzall-ing though so you get nice straight cuts...

sand down the cut...

touch up with something (how does one touch up rhino liner?)

Hhahaha...so you don think it will look too bad if i make a clean "slantedlike" cut(like my word there) in the rear portion of the fender flare. i like the way they look and really dont want to get bushwakers. i may even trim on the front bumper for now. a new bumper is not in my immediate future with the money i have dropped on this.

Edit: Touch up Rhino Liner??? yeah not sure haha i'm sure th esanding will do the job..

Thanks, yeah i'll probably be fine trimming the fender up to the fire wall. I'll have to stuff the tires to see if the hit the firewall very hard. I think i might not have to tub there but one day all those 37" tires i've been collecting from work will come into good use and i'll really have to start tubbing... Hey theyre free. I figure a year of collecting and i should be set for off roading for a while
