When I got my 285/70/17s I got them from Discount Tire Direct. Paid $220 a tire and got Free Shipping and no CA sales tax. Ended up coming out to $840 because Goodyear had a $40 rebate at the time.

I got 17x9 -12mm 4.5BS rims with these 285/70/17 tires and only the drivers side rubs the cab mount when i'm backing up and turning the wheel to the left  anyone else having this issue with these size tires and a 3" or 2.5" lift?

Nice shoes! Make sure you give us a write up on how they handle the snow and ice once you have put them to the test.

Those do look great, nice blackout job on the wheels as well. I too like the TRD center caps, didn't even know they made those.

Squad314 does have a lift on his truck but you DO NOT need a lift for 265/70/17 Dura Tracs. If you go up in size to the 285/70/17s you will definitely need a lift and will also need to trim inside the front wheel well.

The Duratracs are awesome, all around tires. I would buy them a second time for sure, without a doubt.

Ice is ice. I don't know any tire that is good on ice unless the tire has been modified in some way (i.e. chains, etc.) Glad I don't have to worry about driving on ice here in sunny Florida. Did it enuff up north when I was younger.

Those that have had them for a few months - are you still happy with them? Who bailed from TA/KO's to get them and are you glad you did?

I switched from BFGs yesterday. No complaints with the BFGs, just time for new tires and lift. Got the duratracs in 285s with a 3 inch lift. Haven't had a chance to put them to the test yet, but there was a bit of ice in my steep driveway and it climbed it fine in 2wd. They do make a touch more noise on the highway, but its worth the trade for me, they look super cool! Pics and review on performance asap.
