Here's the deal. I'm looking to put some new wheels on my 2008 Prerunner and have found some 2008 Chevy Z71 wheels on Craigslist for cheap. I know the lug pattern is the same (6 x 5.5), but not sure about backspacing and all that jazz. I want to powdercoat the Z71 wheels black (cuz i think that looks sick on an all white Taco), really like the a different look, and would like the bigger tires also. Looks like they will fit by using the tire calculator. Has anyone done this or know if the wheels will fit?

Don't get me wrong, I own a Chevy, but I sure would not want a bowtie on my Toyota.. Other then that, the wheels wouldn't look bad.

Go to a junk yard or salvage yard. Dupe the guy a few bucks to see if you can try one on. Jack up yours, slide on the Chevy one and see what happens. Easy Cheesy!

Make sure the hub bore (hole in the middle) is big enough. Chevy and Toyota share the same 6-lug bolt pattern (6x5.5), but I think the Chevys have smaller center hubs.

The chevy definitely has a smaller center bore, maybe around 76mm...Tacoma's are 106mm. I just ordered wheels and learned a lot in my research.
