Maybe I was clueless or ignorant I'm not sure but I wasn't expecting aftermarket TPMS to cost what you see below from Tire Rack.

    Your system includes:

    TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR
    $344.00 for a quantity of 4

    TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR
    $26.00 for a quantity of 4

    Total Price: $370.00

Does anyone know if this is an accurate price? If it is I guess I'll be having the dealer program the tire pressure light off because that is way too much just to know if my tires are low. BTW, I know Viper has a thread on these as well but I didn't want to hijack it with money questions.

    Wow that's a good price, here in Crapchester I'm over 500. :(

Damn, I guess these are really expensive. I guess I'll have to pass. I thought the wheel parts were really simple and all the complex hardware was in the truck. Guess I was wrong.

It's really easy to have the dealer just turn that off all the time with a little computer thing. Not sure how cheap it is though. If nothing else it should fade in time; the check engine light on my old Mazda did.

As for the TPMS it's too expensive for me. Had 4 vehicles in the last 16 years without it so I think I'll be fine.
