mud flap substitution

I took off my front mud flaps today and was wondering if you guys knew of anything to put on there so the paint doesn't get damaged. I think I saw a plastic piece that just goes around the edge but i'm not sure what its called or where to find it

You can "custom mount" some universal soft mudflaps to the wheel well...or find place that does vinyl and get them to fit some clear over the parts you are worried about.

FWIW...I didn't have any major paint damage after I took mine off...

Your not going to get too many chips on the front from regular driving.

 

If you like the look you have you can put the clear bra on the rocker panels and it will give you some protection.

How does this material hold up over time? Does it start tearing up, losing adhesiveness, and looking like crap?
