i was just wondering how many miles people got out of these tires

 

I've wondered the same thing as I'm considering these as replacements.

 

anyone?

 

My roomate had them on his taco, until they bought it back. He never had a problem. I have the ATR's and they work well for me.

 

I ran a set of 265/70/17 Cooper ST's. I put 20k on them on my last truck, then swapped my wheels and tires onto the Taco when I got it and ran them another 20k, so 40k total miles. I pulled them with about 20% left on them, but I get some pretty nasty, snowy and rainy winters here in the PNW so thats why I pulled them with that tread on them. They were great in snow and rain for the first 1/2 of the tread, then went downhill pretty quick with less tread. They tended to get progressively louder as they wore down too.... my BFG MTs that I have now are quieter in town then the Coopers were.

 

you said they were good in the snow--did you try them out on any ice

 

I didnt run them in ice until they were about 1/2 wore out and most of the siping was gone, therefore I found that they didnt perform very well in it. IMO they performed poorly enough in it that after getting some pretty nasty black ice that hung around a while one winter, i decided to just get some studded winter tires.
