Sigh....ordered a set of Duratracs from Samsclub for $800 but one of the tires was mislabeled. Took a week for the first set to come in....probably be another week for the last one to come in ><

Those are load range E right? What PSI are you running, do they feel too stiff?

I'm looking at the exact tire but not sure about getting a E range tire.

265/75/16's on a stock lift....these tires are amazing! :D Not too much road noise - can definitely hear a hum but it's not drowning anything out, but the grip over the stock tires is night and day.

How does your Duratrac's perform on icy/slushy road conditions?? I know they look to perform well in the deep snow. What load range are you guys buying for your Tacoma's, "C" or "E"? Also how are they for howl on the hi-way. I was considering the BFG AT and the Revo 2's but these things are looking more interesting. Thanks

I have C rated Duratrac 265/75/16s, and I find them much quieter and smoother on the highway than the E rated BFG TA/KOs

Try and get which ever one you can in a C or D rating. Stay away from E rated, those are really meant for much heavier rigs.

Thanks crazybayman & YotaDan for the info, these tires will definitely be near the top of my list for replacement tires, even more so than the BFG AT KO's.

The rims that came on my truck are 18s. All Duratrac 18s are E load. I have 275/65/18s (32x11). The slight hum on the frwy ain't shit. The "stiffness" of the E load ain't shit. Inflation says 35-80 psi, I'm runnin 50 and they are wearing perfectly after 1st rotation, the ride is fabulous & the noise is not an issue. Needless to say the traction is superb on what little offroading I've done with them.......+2 on the rebate - 40.00 from GY for using the GY cc & 100.00 from tl.org. Mine were not cheap...260 each! Almost went with new 17" rims just to get cheaper tires and more sizes that come in C load. BTW, my 18" E loads weigh the same as my 285/60/18 NTGs did which is 50lbs each.

Right here in Hammonton, CRESCENT TIRE & AUTO INC.

Now, I gotta get a tire iron... a jack that will reach my truck (or even better a jack stand...), and paint my rims black.

    Well heres my story.

Had 265/70r17s BFG All-terrains on my first gen. For some reason I thought they were the E load range, but they were the C's.

I got my 2nd gen and ordered new wheels/tires. I ordered the 265/75/r17 All-Terrains in the E load range. The ride wasn't all that bad but man did my mpgs go down a lot. I am almost down to 3/4s of a tank and I am only at 212 miles. With my 265/70r17s bfgs C range I was getting over 220 miles before the 3/4 EASILY.

I just got back from Discount Tire and ordered new Duratrac 265/75/r16s and they should be in Thursday. Cost me about 75 dollars for the difference in tire price and shipping.

My MPGs dropped a LOT with the E rated BFGs.

Hopefully these duratracs in the C load is as good as all of you say they are! Will post pics in my build page when they are mounted.

I just had my new 265/70-17 Duratecs mounted on some Procomp 1028 Polished 17x8.5.

At first, I noticed bit of wandering, slightly rougher ride and some high pitched road noise at freeway speeds. I took it to Bear Frame and Wheel in Glendora and got a good alignment and it seems to have tamed the wandering and rougher ride. There is still some extra road noise compared to stock, but I have the Goodrich KO's on another truck and think that they are much noisier.

I had them on my old 1st gen... they weren't very good on wet pavement.

Well, I ended up contacting discount tire and will be trading in my new and unused 4 bfg at's 265/75/16 Load E tires for 4 good year wrangler duratrac in a 265/75/16 in a load c tire.

I sure hope I made a good choice.

Those of you running this tire size on stock suspension, how much clearance do you have from the UCA's?

Tires should HOPEFULLY be in tomorrow and will get them put on.

I paid $726.00 for the bfg and will have to pay an extra $170.00 for the duratracs. This includes mounting/balancing/rebuilding the tpms and I get a free lifetime balance and rotate every 6000 miles.

I am actually going to rotate them every 3000 miles. I will do it and then 3000 more they will do it, etc....
