i have a 3" toytec, should be the same, you should be able to go with 33's without too many problems, i have SLIGHT rubbing, but a little trimming took care of it.

    popular 33's here are 285/75 R16 and 285/70 R17s

i have the 3 inch revtek on an 08. you can fit some 285/70 on there nicely, but you will have some slight trimming to do. i wouldnt go bigger than 33's

Are we talking normal driving or serious ass-up-in the-air-bottoming out 4-wheeling?

While you guys are on this subject let me ask something.....I was just at discount tire and they told me I could go with a 305/65/17 with a 3" lift. He said that the 285's are actually a bit smaller and that the 305's are exactlly 33". Anybody know anything about this and will the 305's fit? Also he said that I need a 17 x 8 inch rim to make it work. Input on that as well would be helpful?

I have 305 70 16's and I also have a 4 inch lift and once in a great while, like going over a curb they rub just on the drivers side so 305 75 17's have to rub.. and does anyone know why the drivers side always rubs before the passengers side????

    Bozerdoo,

How did you end up with a 4" lift? What did you go with?

well its a tuff country 5 inch but i olny got about 4 inches out of it after all was said and done i guess i like it though http://www.parksoffroad.com/tacomamods/lift/tuffcountry/tuffcountry.htm here is diy of how to install it the fab tec is an inch taller but it costs more money then you need 35 inch tires to fill up the wheel wells and that again is more money so i think I went with the right one
