After about a two week turn around, the wheels are finally BLACK! Now I just need a BSP bumper (working on that one now) and she'll be blacked out.

    What do ya'll think?

And as a bonus.... I saw this FJ at my local dealer. Not a bad looking truck.

Black rims on a black truck just look so mean. Ive been sitting on a stock truck for a few years now. After checking out the trucks on this board, I want to MOD everything. I think Im going to debadge and go with black rims to start. These look really nice. Good job.

Sweet truck man! I just bought a black taco a month ago, gonna go for the same look. My wife has a 06 Tahoe Z71 and I am trying to talk her into trading for a FJ. I really would love to have one of those. Life is full of tough decisons!

I'm wondering if it would have been easier and maybe cheaper to just buy new wheels.

All said and done, I have about $215 +/- in each wheel (including new silver TRD wheels, prep and powder coating, and new FJ TRD centercaps.) I bought the black center caps because I couldn't get a good finish that I was happy with on the silver cap. I do still have 4 of the silver ones that I'll sell if anyone is interested :D. I ended up with five total but one became my paint "guinea pig".

I considered the Earnhardt Toyota ones on ebay but just thought I would try it myself. Saved a little but took longer to get them done. Doesn't matter much to me though, I made a few friends and good contacts for future work if needed.
