alignment question

    hey guys just two quick question,

    1. If i were to change just the rim but keep the tire size the same, do i need to get an alignment?

    2. If i change just the tire size but keep the rim size the same, do i need an alignment?

    In both instances it would be a good idea to get an alignment. Even though you are keeping the same tire size so to speak, different manufactures of tires produce different total circumferences for the same 'size' tire. The amount can be small, but enough to cause an irregular wear pattern.

    In any event that you change tire size you should have the vehicle aligned.
