Hi, so I wanna get some "man" tires for my 08 taco, its 2wd access cab.
I have noticed a lot of nice pictures on this site, I have read through a lot of posts but still have some questions, I hope you don't get to upset if I am rehashing an old topic.

    First I want 31 10.5 r 15 on the truck.
Obviously I need a lift kit.
Question 1 I am pretty handy guy but never installed a lift kit, I was thinking about this kit http://www.fatbobsgarage.com/catalog/toyota-tacoma-275-lift-kit-2005-2009-2wd-5-lug.htm.
is it easy to install? is there a better option? suggestions?

Question 2 I assume i need new rims the tire store guy says 31-10.5r15 need a rim width of 7-9inches. Why would I not want a 9 inch rim?

Question 3 Does anyone have a pic of an 08 2wd access cab with a lift and sexy tires?

Thanks for the help in advance....
p.s. I love this site, CHARCOAL filter your coming out asap

    Welcome to TW!

The Fat Bobs kit is about the only option you have unless you get a long travel kit. If you dont go off road to hard, you should be fine. A 9" wheel is a little too wide for that tire, and may look kinda funny. Plus, it puts the rim further out from the tire, exposing it to damage from curbs, or whatever you may bump into.

Thanks for the info.... so if 9 inch is to big, what size would be best? rim width i mean.

Also what can I do about the speedometer being off? if there is anything that can be done?

I think they are identical. I orderd fat bobs kit and waited a week and a half, i should have had it in 2- 3 days. When i called back and left a message they were very prompt about returning my call and said they were out of it. However they next day aired /dropped shipped a readylift kit from the readylift factory at no addditional charge . 179.00 plus the orignial freight (10.00) super nice folks for that reason id highly recommend fat bob's to anyone.

I agree they are great to work with. I ordered from them and recommend anyone to buy from them who is looking for great service.
