Replacing tires on '06 DC Prerunner.

Well my stock crappy Dunlops are nearly finished with about over 44k on them & I'm at the current stock size of 245/75-16 and would like to go larger.

I don't plan on a lift anytime soon and most of my driving is highway but like the looks of the aggresive tire.

Should I go with 265/70-16 or jump up to 265/75-16.

Looking at Firestone Dest. AT, Toyo Open Country AT and Yokohama Geolander AT-S for tires.

Any opinions?

 

I'd go with a 265/75/16... But it's all your opinion. The 265/75 is the largest you can go stock.

Take a look at the Dueler Revo's and Revo 2's. Those seem to be an awesome tire, but I'm speaking from word of mouth.

 

Hmmm...Interesting, I thought the TRD package came with Bilstein HD shocks, at least my window sticker says so.

Back on topic, I'd go with the Bridgestone AT Revo 2's as well. I got a set put on last month and love them; especially over the stock BFG Rugged Fails.

 

i believe the 265/75's are cheaper than stock size so i'd go with the 265/75's. honestly i'd check into the bridgestone revo 2's or maybe some bfg a/t if you want to.

 

Guess I'll have to look into the Revo's. I checked on Tirerack and the larger size is cheaper, $144 for 265/70 vs $133 for the 265/75, interesting.

I have the SR5 model and didn't even think about having to upgrade the shocks/struts. However, I was wanting to get the off-road Bilsteins.

why not just get the bilstein 5100's? they give a much better ride quality and you can adjust them for a lift in the future if you want. you can get they for around $282 from downsouthmotorsports

Go with the Toyo A/T's. You won't be disappointed. I'm picking up my set tomorrow at 8am!

 

Yea i have about 15,000 miles on my Toyo A/T's and about 2500 are on dirt, they are still going strong. Also they were cheap cause they are always on sale.

 

Ok this may stupid question but can I put on the 5100's with stock SR5 springs/leafs?
